Girls
Cate was invited to a sleepover at her friend's house tonight. All four kids were outside with our babysitter when Cate got picked up.
As they were leaving, Cate's friend's mom called Maggie a "cute little girl."
And, according to our babysitter, Maggie's immediate response was "I'm not a little girl! I'm 5! I mean, I'm 10....actually I'm 27!"
(Even though I didn't witness this exchange I can totally picture it playing out. Sweet Maggie, always trying to be such a big girl).

Six Person Selfie
Our one and only family picture from the entire trip, taken outside Buffalo Wilds Wings in Paducah, KY.
Only 7 more hours until we're home...

New Shoes
Cece got her first pair of "real" shoes on this trip. From the minute she put them on she only wanted to walk.
Everywhere.
All the time.
And all by herself (sigh...).
It's so funny to see such a little person toddling down the sidewalk, completely oblivious to our efforts to protect her from cracks, ramps, mud puddles and other concrete hazards.
(A rare picture of both girls walking. Note Chris' hunchback. I think Cece walked more than Maggie on this trip).
Vacation Workout
The little girls desire for all-Daddy-all-the-time, meant that Chris was essentially carrying around a combined 50 lb weight for much of the day.

More!
Not content with her mini Popsicle, which she devoured in minutes, Cece follows Maggie around saying, "More! More!" until Maggie gives in and shares her strawberry Popsicle.

Eating Our Way Through Nashville
We are renting a little house in a Nashville neighborhood called 12 South.
Our location could not be better-- two blocks from a great park and three blocks from some of Nashville's best restaurants.
Today we grabbed barbecue from Edley's and then followed up with gourmet Popsicles from Las Paletas.

Pit Stop
Following dinner at Stefania's Italian restaurant in Troy, Missouri we stopped so the kids could run around the track.
Road Trip!
We started out first official road at 2:03pm.
And made our first official pit stop approximately one hour later just across the Missouri border.
It's supposed to take just over 9.5 hours to get from Iowa City to Nashville. At this rate it will probably take us around 15 hours...
