"Show me your 'surprised' face!"

Mommy Loses Arm in Tragic Accident

The Little People Mommy, age unknown, lost her arm in a tragic household accident last week. The missing limb was discoverd early Friday morning by Mommy (the real one, not the Little People one) and C.

Although no one witnessed the act of violence taking place, authorities believe that the family dog, Sadie, is responsible for the act.

C (age 21 months) shared these suspicions, stating, "Sadie ate Mommy arm. Mommy arm in Sadie tummy."

Sadie had no comment at press time and directed all questions to her attorney who said, "Just because Sadie eats everything else in the house does not mean she ate the Mommy's arm. There were no witnesses. This is America! Innocent until proven guilty."

The investigation is ongoing but many, including C, are convinced that Sadie is the culprit. Referring to Sadie's history of chewing children's toys C told this reporter, "Sadie be naughty girl."

The Little People Mommy remains in high spirits, smiling constantly and holding her good arm in the air. She is learning to do everything with one hand, a task which would be difficult for most to even contemplate.

"I'm not worried," she said. "Everyone knows that mommies can do more with one hand than most people can do with two."

Love.

Character. We've got it.

February has been a long month and I feel like I'm constantly saying "no"--as in, "No, you can't jump on the couch/dog/brother."
Sadie is also feeling a bit confined by the cold weather and has been acting up lately as well. So we've had many discussions about naughty behavior as in, "Why is Sadie being so naughty today?"

Earlier this week, C walked by and we had the following exchange.

C: Be naughty girl.

Me: What? Why don't you be a good girl instead?

C: No, Mama. Be naughty.

Meet the cast...

Everyone who knows me knows that I'm always talking about writing "something." To be honest, I was hoping it would be a novel or even a short story. Hell, even a newspaper article would be a nice start. But in the interests of getting "something" written, I've decided to begin here, with a blog. Ah, well. Even Ernest Hemingway had to start somewhere, right?

If nothing else this blog will help me keep YOU up to speed on all of the interesting, amazing and wonderful things that B and C (pictured here) are doing on a regular basis.

Enjoy!
